About the event

TREE CARE SESSIONS 🌱🌱

The trees planted at the rugby club are growing well, but are requiring some after care.

There will be volunteer sessions on the following dates with Max leading the Wednesday sessions and Robin leading the Thursday sessions.

All times are 10 till 12 but if you can only do one of these hours that is absolutely fine.

Please bring your own drink and snack 🍪🧃

Please also bring gloves and something to kneel on.

The wee trees are surrounded by long grass & weeds including stinging nettles and in certain areas thistles and we need to remove the weeds from the tree guards and mark where the trees have not survived.(we have spray paint for this.)

We will need to work in pairs and will be kneeling/sitting amongst the weeds to do this work so thick protective trousers/over trousers would be recommended.

Let’s keep caring for our saplings so they can grow into full sized trees. Please let us know the date/s you are able to volunteer.

Many thanks in advance.
